Palmisano project Fulton Alley

FULTON

Alley

Where it all began: Palmisano’s first project. A parking garage in New Orleans Warehouse District is converted into a boutique bowling center.

overview

Brechtel Hospitality engaged Palmisano as the Design-Build contractor for the renovation of a parking garage into a boutique bowling center along Fulton Street’s pedestrian mall. Designed by Dynamic Design & Associates, this space contains 12 lanes, two bars, restaurant, commercial kitchen, and outdoor seating areas, all with a speakeasy vibe. Working within an unconditioned parking structure meant addressing a series of challenges, including a floor that was sloping to drains, no doors or windows, no provisions for HVAC or electrical systems, and an uninsulated envelope.

Completed in 2013, and marked as Palmisano’s first commercial project, Fulton Alley was successfully converted from 20,000-square-feet of raw space into an operating facility within a tight 16-week time frame. .
